Prime Den vs HomeLight  ·  South Florida sellers

HomeLight picks from the agents who signed up. We look at every agent.

Agent-matching sites recommend agents from their own network. We start from the MLS record for your community, rank every agent who sold homes like yours on what they actually did, and then go get the best one for you. Same price to you: free.

See who wins in my community
The one question that matters

Who is in the pool before anyone gets ranked?

A matching service can only recommend the agents it can get paid by. So the honest version of "we find you the best agent" is "we find you the best agent who agreed to our terms". In a community where the strongest agent never joined that network, the best you can get from it is second best, and nobody tells you.

We flip the order. We rank the whole field first, from the record. Then we contact the agent at the top and ask them to take you on. If they won't, we move to the next one on the list, not to whoever happens to be available.

Side by side

Prime Den vs HomeLight

Which agents can be recommended
HomeLight: Agents who have joined HomeLight's network and agreed to pay it a referral fee. HomeLight says over 118,000 agents work with it nationwide.
Prime Den: Every agent who listed a home like yours in your community, taken from the MLS record. Including the agents who have never heard of us.
What the choice is based on
HomeLight: HomeLight's own matching algorithm. It tells agents that matches are performance-based and that agents who respond quickly find more success on the platform.
Prime Den: The listing record for your subdivision or condo building: what each agent closed, what expired or was withdrawn, days on market, and sale price against the original asking price.
Area covered
HomeLight: National platform, all 50 states.
Prime Den: Only Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. We go down to the individual community.
Cost to you, the seller
HomeLight: Free. The agent pays HomeLight a referral fee out of their commission.
Prime Den: Free. The agent pays us a referral fee out of their commission.
What you get before you meet anyone
HomeLight: An introduction to one or more partner agents.
Prime Den: The numbers for your community first, in writing. Then the introduction, only if you want it.

The part we'd rather say ourselves

Yes, we are paid by the agent too

Every service on this page, us included, earns a referral fee from the agent when your home sells. That is why it costs you nothing. The difference is not whether anyone gets paid. It's whether the agent was picked because they are the best on your streets, or because they were the best of the ones who signed up.

Other matching services

UpNest, FastExpert, Redfin partner agents

UpNest

You submit a request and receive 3 to 5 proposals from agents in its network, who compete for your listing.

FastExpert

Matches you with agents from its network of 95,000+ agents, who pay FastExpert a fee when they close a FastExpert client.

Redfin Partner Agents

Partner agents are offered when Redfin's own agents are too busy or the home is outside Redfin's service area. Partners pay Redfin a referral fee.

Each of them is a reasonable way to meet an agent. Each of them starts from a network. If you want to know who actually performs best with homes like yours, that answer is in the MLS record, and it includes everyone.

Questions

Common questions

Is Prime Den free for home sellers?

Yes. You never pay Prime Den anything. If you list with the agent we introduce, that agent pays us a referral fee out of their own commission. Your commission is whatever you negotiate with the agent, same as if you had found them yourself.

How is Prime Den different from HomeLight?

HomeLight recommends agents from the network of agents who have agreed to pay it a referral fee. We start from the full MLS record of your community: every agent who listed a home like yours, including the ones who have never heard of us. We rank them on closings, days on market and sale price against original asking price, and then approach the agent at the top. If that agent will not work with us, we go to the next one on the list, not to whoever happens to be in a network.

Do agents pay Prime Den too?

Yes, and we would rather say it plainly. Like HomeLight, UpNest, FastExpert and Redfin's partner program, we are paid a referral fee by the agent when a home sells. The difference is the order of operations: we pick the agent from the record first and ask them to work with us second.

What areas do you cover?

Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in South Florida, down to the individual subdivision or condo building.

Do I have to meet anyone or sign anything?

No. Send us the address and we send you the numbers for your community. Meeting the agent is your call.

Send us the address. We'll rank every agent who sold homes like yours nearby and send you the numbers, before you talk to anyone.

Reports go out by the end of the next business day, written by a person who has looked at your community. No cost, no obligation, and we don't pass your details to anyone until you ask us to.
